January 15 to 19, 2024
The WP4 A2 Mobility program was held in Germany, bringing together representatives from partner organizations to finalize the Green Infrastructure Strategy in urban arboriculture, tailored to diverse urban areas. Hosted by EAC, the program served as a platform for knowledge exchange and strategic development for sustainable urban green management.
Throughout the week, participants engaged in presentations, field visits, and strategic sessions, crafting both general and specific approaches for the maintenance of urban trees and green spaces. Field visits to the Competence Center for Gardening and Landscape Construction in Quedlinburg and Berlin provided insight into Germany’s best practices, including species selection and maintenance methods, which will be adapted to each country’s needs.
The final meeting concluded with the comprehensive Green Infrastructure Strategy.
This program laid the groundwork for future advancements in urban forestry, uniting participants around a shared vision of sustainable and resilient green infrastructure across Europe.
